Functional Safety

The product development of Autoroad complies with the process specification of Automotive SPICE (Software Process Improvement and Capacity dEtermination). A-SPICE is a process evaluation model for the automotive industry that was jointly determined by major European automobile manufacturers. In R&D, the A-SPICE process is followed to assure the quality of Autoroad radar products, especially the development quality of system and software. Moreover, due to the close correlation between automotive radar and driving safety, the functional safety standard ISO26262 has been applied to the radar product development for enhancing the functional safety performance. Through the safety management of the system development process and the reasonable verification and confirmation methods of system, hardware and software, the safety functions of the product can be guaranteed to the greatest extent, and the risk can be reduced below an allowable level.
